Liminality, 2022
Designed for L2 brief ‘Summer Reading’Step one of this task was to read the book ‘Species of Spaces and Other Places’ by Georges Perec. To cut it short, the book delves deep into our environment, starting small and gradually diverging into the surroundings, with each chapter breaking down an area that encapsulates the previous. Our brief was to create a publication interpretation of this book, for me this meant capturing the essence of Perec’s eccentric way of seeing the world. With each page seeming bigger than the last, I directly scanned his book and rearranged his book’s narrative in a more irregular and chaotic style.
