Exodus Rhythms, 2023
Designed for L2 brief ‘Migration’This project explores how music in this country was brightly transformed after the arrival of the windrush generation. The installation uses Processing 2.0 to detect every musical note which is played on a bass guitar. Each note then corresponds to the story of a migrant who arrived in this country from British territories in the Carribean, and explains how they adapted to a new way of life through music. A supporting publication was also designed to explain in further detail their stories.
